PROPERTY TAX RESEARCH, MADE SIMPLER
Walla Walla County, Washington
Where to look, which office to contact, and how to request records.
Where to obtain records
Walla Walla County Treasurer’s Office
Official published tax-record and foreclosure-record access guidanceHow to find the information
The foreclosure page links a COD summary for 2022 taxes as of October 1, 2026, a foreclosure/distraint fee schedule and Sale Results/Excess Funds. It states no sale date has been set; GovEase is the endorsed auction provider when scheduled. The separate Payment Center endorses search-and-pay access, and Property Records Search is another county link. Ask for the current unpaid ledger and payoff rather than treating the COD summary as live or assuming an auction is scheduled.
Identify the real-property parcel/account number, tax years, levies or special assessments and desired as-of date. Request the existing unpaid ledger or dated tax statement with included payments, interest and enforcement costs. A normal bill, assessed-value record, foreclosure certificate, dated bid list, completed-sale result and county-held tax-title inventory are different records. For foreclosure, ask for the court case, notice, applicable redemption calculation and payment cutoff. Excess/surplus sale proceeds are a funds/distribution record, distinct from surplus real property. Ask the Treasurer to identify any separate district or court custodian and confirm the available existing format and copy/certification cost before ordering.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Walla Walla County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
County-specific notes
Verified means reviewed published access instructions, including dated foreclosure documents or expressly described staff-assisted records; no taxpayer query tested. Reviewed October 29, 2026. Check every source/file date and the applicable record stage; a scheduled, postponed or absent auction does not establish all accounts’ tax status. County lists and ordinary portal balances may omit later costs or recent payments. No taxpayer searches, logins, registrations, record requests, payments, declarations or owner-list republication performed.
