How to find the information

The Tax Foreclosure Sales FAQ explains how to find parcels in foreclosure, warns that redemptions change the list, and distinguishes excess proceeds from tax-title property. Use the page’s current list/notice resources and the office’s property-tax inquiry service, then ask for later costs or missing years. The Treasurer says it no longer processes payments by telephone; that does not prevent staff record inquiries. Sale-stage parcels are not every delinquent account.

Identify the real-property parcel/account number, tax years, levies or special assessments and desired as-of date. Request the existing unpaid ledger or dated tax statement with included payments, interest and enforcement costs. A normal bill, assessed-value record, foreclosure certificate, dated bid list, completed-sale result and county-held tax-title inventory are different records. For foreclosure, ask for the court case, notice, applicable redemption calculation and payment cutoff. Excess/surplus sale proceeds are a funds/distribution record, distinct from surplus real property. Ask the Treasurer to identify any separate district or court custodian and confirm the available existing format and copy/certification cost before ordering.

What to ask for

“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Franklin County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”

Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.

County-specific notes

Verified means reviewed published access instructions, including dated foreclosure documents or expressly described staff-assisted records; no taxpayer query tested. Reviewed October 29, 2026. Check every source/file date and the applicable record stage; a scheduled, postponed or absent auction does not establish all accounts’ tax status. County lists and ordinary portal balances may omit later costs or recent payments. No taxpayer searches, logins, registrations, record requests, payments, declarations or owner-list republication performed.

An independent directory, not a government agency.

We help you locate records; we do not store taxpayer lists, determine delinquency, collect taxes, or sell tax liens. Confirm balances, payment status, deadlines, and fees with the responsible office. A tax-sale list is not a complete list of delinquent accounts.
