The Treasurer’s Real Estate Tax Inquiry instructions offer tax-map/parcel number, last name or account number searches and describe assessed values, amounts owed and payment history. Select that inquiry link rather than Web Fee Pay checkout, which requires year and ticket number. Ask staff for complete unpaid years and later collection costs; assessment figures and yearly paid summaries are different records.
Identify the locality, real-property parcel/map or account number, tax years and desired as-of date. Ask for the existing unpaid real-estate collection ledger or dated statement, with the included levies, payments and later costs. Ordinary bills, payment history, assessment land books and yearly taxes-paid summaries have different scope. For a sale, request the dated notice, case number, sale/confirmation record and the appropriate redemption or payoff calculation; ask the collector to identify the special commissioner or Circuit Court custodian. Surplus/excess proceeds are a separate distribution or funds record. Confirm the judicial or nonjudicial procedure and record custodian; do not assume a post-sale redemption period. Incorporated-town levies may require a second collector. Ask for the available existing format and a cost estimate before ordering.

“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Lancaster County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
