How to find the information

Property-tax records are local. The example below covers Hartford only. For a different municipality in Windsor County, use the Office website link to the state municipal directory, identify the city/town where the parcel lies, and ask its clerk or treasurer for the responsible delinquent-tax collector.

For Hartford property, use Delinquent Taxes and ask Town Hall to connect you with Finance or the delinquent-tax collector. The number shown is the published Town Hall contact; the page describes the collection and tax-sale process.

Request an existing delinquent real-property report, year-by-year account history or current payoff, giving the municipality, parcel/account identifier if known, tax years, desired as-of date and preferred inspection or electronic-copy format. Ask which existing record is available and obtain an estimate for copies, extracts or certification before ordering.

What to ask for

“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Windsor County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”

Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.

County-specific notes

The page distinguishes a tax sale, redemption and a later tax deed. Those stages do not establish that a sale-stage publication covers every current unpaid account. A payment portal is a separate service and was not queried. Hartford’s municipal records do not include all of Windsor County, and the Town of Windsor has its own collection office. Office website: January 2026 state municipal directory. Choose local contacts rather than the separate county-clerk list. Source review verifies access guidance, not taxpayer liability. No taxpayer query, payment, registration or records-request submission was made; no owner-level rows are republished.

An independent directory, not a government agency.

We help you locate records; we do not store taxpayer lists, determine delinquency, collect taxes, or sell tax liens. Confirm balances, payment status, deadlines, and fees with the responsible office. A tax-sale list is not a complete list of delinquent accounts.
