Property Taxes says current or previous-year tax notices can be printed through the Pay Property Taxes search. It directs delinquent inquiries to 605-394-2163 for the correct payoff and acceptable funds. Request additional unpaid years or ledger history directly from Treasury.
To request an existing delinquent real-property report, parcel account/payment ledger, bill copy or dated redemption/payoff calculation, provide the county parcel/Tax ID if known, tax years and payable years, desired as-of date and preferred inspection or electronic-copy format. Ask whether the record includes special assessments, tax certificates, interest, penalties and costs. Confirm any copy, certification or extract charge and ask for an existing report rather than assuming the office creates custom lists. A valuation, payment screen, dated publication or tax-deed record does not certify today’s unpaid balance.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Pennington County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
County-specific notes
The current county-linked tax portal could not be substantively retrieved. County-published instructions were reviewed; no native form or taxpayer results were tested. A tax-certificate record and a current unpaid ledger have different coverage. No taxpayer query, payment, account registration or records-request submission was made. No taxpayer rows or owner-list attachments are included in this import.
