Moody County Treasurer / Property Tax
County office contact guidanceContact the office for delinquent property tax records. This guide does not confirm an online search or current bill list.
How to find the information
Treasurer publishes 605-997-3171 at 101 East Pipestone Avenue, Suite A, Flandreau. The page labels a GovTech link Bank Escrow Tax Search; ask Treasury which route is appropriate for public access to an existing unpaid report or individual parcel ledger.
To request an existing delinquent real-property report, parcel account/payment ledger, bill copy or dated redemption/payoff calculation, provide the county parcel/Tax ID if known, tax years and payable years, desired as-of date and preferred inspection or electronic-copy format. Ask whether the record includes special assessments, tax certificates, interest, penalties and costs. Confirm any copy, certification or extract charge and ask for an existing report rather than assuming the office creates custom lists. A valuation, payment screen, dated publication or tax-deed record does not certify today’s unpaid balance.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Moody County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
County-specific notes
Contact status: an escrow-oriented service link is not treated as proof of an unrestricted public delinquency database or complete extract. Specify real-property collection records rather than vehicle or state sales-tax matters. No taxpayer query, payment, account registration or records-request submission was made. No taxpayer rows or owner-list attachments are included in this import.
