Jerauld County Treasurer / Property Tax

County office contact guidance

Contact the office for delinquent property tax records. This guide does not confirm an online search or current bill list.

How to find the information

Treasurer publishes 605-539-1241 and PO Box 346, Wessington Springs, and explains real-property tax collection. Call to establish the inspection/copy procedure for an existing delinquent-tax report, account ledger or missing statement.

To request an existing delinquent real-property report, parcel account/payment ledger, bill copy or dated redemption/payoff calculation, provide the county parcel/Tax ID if known, tax years and payable years, desired as-of date and preferred inspection or electronic-copy format. Ask whether the record includes special assessments, tax certificates, interest, penalties and costs. Confirm any copy, certification or extract charge and ask for an existing report rather than assuming the office creates custom lists. A valuation, payment screen, dated publication or tax-deed record does not certify today’s unpaid balance.

What to ask for

“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Jerauld County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”

Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.

County-specific notes

Contact status: office and collection guidance were confirmed, but a public delinquency database or electronic extract was not. The county page gives ZIP 57382, different from the state directory’s ZIP; confirm the current mailing address before sending a request. No taxpayer query, payment, account registration or records-request submission was made. No taxpayer rows or owner-list attachments are included in this import.

We help you locate records; we do not store taxpayer lists, determine delinquency, collect taxes, or sell tax liens. Confirm balances, payment status, deadlines, and fees with the responsible office. A tax-sale list is not a complete list of delinquent accounts.
