How to find the information

Open the Dorchester county source. Use the county navigation or current links labelled Delinquent-tax, Search Or Pay Taxes Online. Check whether the material concerns all delinquent accounts, advertised real-estate parcels, mobile homes, or a specific sale. Read its tax year and publication date. For the current balance of one parcel or an existing countywide delinquent real-estate file, call 843-563-0110 and provide the address/map number and tax year.

What to ask for

“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Dorchester County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”

Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.

County-specific notes

The official office information and published navigation were reviewed. Linked downloads, individual taxpayer records and payment checkout were not tested. A dated sale advertisement or a forfeited-land list does not establish a current balance for every county property. Dorchester announced a new delinquent-tax online platform in 2026. Its current dorchestercountysctaxes.org site offers Search Or Pay Taxes Online and describes lookup by VIN, Notice # or name. The older AS400 inquiry and GIS locator are separate routes; their continued coverage was not established.

An independent directory, not a government agency.

We help you locate records; we do not store taxpayer lists, determine delinquency, collect taxes, or sell tax liens. Confirm balances, payment status, deadlines, and fees with the responsible office. A tax-sale list is not a complete list of delinquent accounts.
