Where to obtain records

Kent County municipal Tax Collectors — choose the city or town

State directory of municipal tax collectors

Office website →

How to find the information

Start with the city or town where the property is located. The state directory button lists municipal tax collectors; this county page groups the 5 relevant municipalities below. For an existing delinquent real-property report, payment history or current payoff, specify the municipality, parcel/account or plat/lot identifier if known, tax years, desired as-of date and inspection or electronic-copy format. Ask which existing record is available and request a fee estimate for any copies, export or certification.

Coventry — 401-822-9167. Official route: https://coventryri.gov/tax-collector. Use the Tax Collector page for real-estate account assistance and its tax-bill instructions. Distinguish real estate from tangible property and other charges when asking for history or an existing unpaid-account extract.

East Greenwich — 401-886-8612. Official route: https://www.eastgreenwichri.gov/156/Tax-Collector. Tax Collector and Tax Bills & Tax Rolls are separate municipal routes. A published bill or tax roll is not automatically an unpaid-only report; ask the collector for current status or the existing delinquency file.

Warwick — 401-738-2002. Official route: https://www.warwickri.gov/m/directory/department?did=30. The current Tax Collectors directory gives the office at the Sawtooth Annex, 65 Centerville Road. The older tax-collectors URL did not resolve; use the current office link to reach property-tax information and request records.

West Greenwich — 401-392-3800. Official route: https://www.wgtownri.org/190/Collections. Use Collections for tax-account assistance; Tax Sale is separate navigation. Request the real-property tax history or current unpaid report rather than treating the sale-stage list as all unpaid accounts.

West Warwick — 401-822-9210. Official route: https://westwarwickri.gov/?SEC=BC9E7041-FE49-4728-AD79-A87C5A49A4F3. The older .org collection link now routes to the current .gov Tax Collector page. Confirm which existing real-estate report or account history is available and distinguish it from other municipal charges.

What to ask for

“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Kent County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”

Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.

County-specific notes

The Office website link opens the RI.gov Cities & Towns directory. For recorded instruments, RI.gov also provides Land Records / Tax Assessments at https://www.ri.gov/towns/landtaxdata/ and directs users to each municipal Town/City Clerk. Do not substitute tax assessments for collection balances or assume a historical lien, tax-sale notice, sold list or redemption list is the full current unpaid-account population. No account query, payment, registration or records-request submission was performed. No owner-level tax rows were downloaded or republished. Reviewed status applies to the access guide, not taxpayer liability.

An independent directory, not a government agency.

We help you locate records; we do not store taxpayer lists, determine delinquency, collect taxes, or sell tax liens. Confirm balances, payment status, deadlines, and fees with the responsible office. A tax-sale list is not a complete list of delinquent accounts.
