Where to obtain records

Bristol County municipal Tax Collectors — choose the city or town

State directory of municipal tax collectors

Office website →

How to find the information

Start with the city or town where the property is located. The state directory button lists municipal tax collectors; this county page groups the 3 relevant municipalities below. For an existing delinquent real-property report, payment history or current payoff, specify the municipality, parcel/account or plat/lot identifier if known, tax years, desired as-of date and inspection or electronic-copy format. Ask which existing record is available and request a fee estimate for any copies, export or certification.

Barrington — 401-247-1900 ext. 2. Official route: https://www.barrington.ri.gov/254/Tax-Collection. Tax Collection publishes a dedicated office extension and prepares Municipal Lien Certificates. Its separate Tax Collection Due Dates & Tax Bills page distinguishes the current bill schedule from delinquent-account enforcement.

Bristol — 401-253-7000 (Town Hall; ask for tax records). Official route: https://www.bristolri.gov/395/Tax-Payments-and-General-Information. Use Tax Payments and General Information. It offers Pay Taxes Online and explains the Municipal Lien Certificate request; a certificate and a payment route have different scopes from a complete delinquency report.

Warren — 401-245-7340 (Town Hall; ask for Finance/Tax Collector). Official route: https://www.townofwarren-ri.gov/departments/finance/index.php. The current town site provides Finance & Tax Collector, Pay Taxes Online and separate Tax Sale navigation. Request current unpaid years or the existing real-estate delinquency file from Finance; a sale offering is a narrower record.

What to ask for

“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Bristol County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”

Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.

County-specific notes

The Office website link opens the RI.gov Cities & Towns directory. For recorded instruments, RI.gov also provides Land Records / Tax Assessments at https://www.ri.gov/towns/landtaxdata/ and directs users to each municipal Town/City Clerk. Do not substitute tax assessments for collection balances or assume a historical lien, tax-sale notice, sold list or redemption list is the full current unpaid-account population. Bristol County, Rhode Island, is distinct from Bristol County, Massachusetts. No account query, payment, registration or records-request submission was performed. No owner-level tax rows were downloaded or republished. Reviewed status applies to the access guide, not taxpayer liability.

An independent directory, not a government agency.

We help you locate records; we do not store taxpayer lists, determine delinquency, collect taxes, or sell tax liens. Confirm balances, payment status, deadlines, and fees with the responsible office. A tax-sale list is not a complete list of delinquent accounts.
