Where to look, which office to contact, and how to request records.
Where to obtain records
Susquehanna County Tax Claim Bureau
Confirmed office route; online delinquency coverage unconfirmedContact the office for delinquent property tax records. This guide does not confirm an online search or current bill list.
How to find the information
The official page identifies Tax Claim under the county Treasurer at 31 Lake Avenue, PO Box 218, Montrose. Ask extension 4080 for the existing unpaid real-estate ledger, covered years and public inspection/electronic-copy process. A public online delinquent-account search, its fields and a complete electronic unpaid roll were not confirmed from the reviewed contact guidance.
For an existing record request, identify the parcel/map/control number, municipality, school district, tax years and desired as-of date. Specify the unpaid collection ledger, tax-status/lien certificate, dated sale publication, sale file/result, redemption or stay-of-sale figure, or surplus-distribution record needed. Ask which county, municipal and school levies and later payments/costs are included, and whether another collector holds a component. A tax-status certificate is a records service, not an investment lien purchase. Confirm the custodian and published copy/certification or optional enhanced-access charges before ordering. Request existing records; do not assume a custom countywide extract will be created.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Susquehanna County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
County-specific notes
Contact status confirms the office route; public online delinquency coverage remains unconfirmed. Reviewed October 29, 2026. Current local bills, returned unpaid claims, dated upset/judicial/private/repository sale records and surplus proceeds have different scope. Sale-stage and redemption rules must be confirmed for the applicable county, statute and case; no statewide deadline is asserted. No taxpayer search, portal login, registration, record request, payment or owner-list republication was performed.
