PROPERTY TAX RESEARCH, MADE SIMPLER
Mifflin County, Pennsylvania
Where to look, which office to contact, and how to request records.
Where to obtain records
Mifflin County Tax Claim Bureau
Official delinquent-record access and collection-jurisdiction guidanceHow to find the information
The county Tax Claim page links Tax Claims Due separately from GIS and sale-registration material. Use the collection-specific route for available information, then ask tbc@mifflincountypa.gov for the existing dated ledger and missing years/costs. The office is on the second floor of the courthouse at 20 North Wayne Street, Lewistown. A map or bidder form does not certify an unpaid balance.
For an existing record request, identify the parcel/map/control number, municipality, school district, tax years and desired as-of date. Specify the unpaid collection ledger, tax-status/lien certificate, dated sale publication, sale file/result, redemption or stay-of-sale figure, or surplus-distribution record needed. Ask which county, municipal and school levies and later payments/costs are included, and whether another collector holds a component. A tax-status certificate is a records service, not an investment lien purchase. Confirm the custodian and published copy/certification or optional enhanced-access charges before ordering. Request existing records; do not assume a custom countywide extract will be created.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Mifflin County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.

Sale-stage and redemption rules must be confirmed for the applicable county, statute and case; no statewide deadline is asserted. No taxpayer search, portal login, registration, record request, payment or owner-list republication was performed.
