Where to obtain records

Allegheny County Treasurer / county-appointed Jordan Tax Service

Official delinquent-record access and collection-jurisdiction guidance

How to find the information

The county Treasurer says it collects current-year taxes only and appoints Jordan Tax Service for delinquent/liened county real-estate taxes. Contact Jordan at this phone for those balances; county customer service is 412-350-4100 for bill copies, balances and receipts. For Pittsburgh, city/library/parks delinquencies remain with City Finance at 412-255-2525; delinquent school taxes go to Jordan at 412-345-7960. The city’s published delinquency report may omit balances under $50 and recent activity. Ask the Treasurer to identify holders of old sold county liens.

For an existing record request, identify the parcel/map/control number, municipality, school district, tax years and desired as-of date. Specify the unpaid collection ledger, tax-status/lien certificate, dated sale publication, sale file/result, redemption or stay-of-sale figure, or surplus-distribution record needed. Ask which county, municipal and school levies and later payments/costs are included, and whether another collector holds a component. A tax-status certificate is a records service, not an investment lien purchase. Confirm the custodian and published copy/certification or optional enhanced-access charges before ordering. Request existing records; do not assume a custom countywide extract will be created.

What to ask for

“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Allegheny County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”

Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.

County-specific notes

Verified denotes reviewed published access instructions, including explicit written or staff-assisted record/payoff routes; no taxpayer query was tested. Reviewed October 29, 2026. Current local bills, returned unpaid claims, dated upset/judicial/private/repository sale records and surplus proceeds have different scope. Sale-stage and redemption rules must be confirmed for the applicable county, statute and case; no statewide deadline is asserted. No taxpayer search, portal login, registration, record request, payment or owner-list republication was performed.

We help you locate records; we do not store taxpayer lists, determine delinquency, collect taxes, or sell tax liens. Confirm balances, payment status, deadlines, and fees with the responsible office. A tax-sale list is not a complete list of delinquent accounts.
