How to find the information

The Tax Office separately links Tax Statements, Property Records and Tax Foreclosure List. Begin with the appropriate resource and identify the tax year and date of any foreclosure publication. Ask propertytax@co.marion.or.us for the existing unpaid ledger, later posted payments and redemption costs not documented by an annual statement. The office is at 555 Court Street NE, Suite 2242, Salem.

For an existing record request, identify the county tax account, property location, tax type, tax years and desired as-of date. Specify the unpaid collection ledger, dated foreclosure list, court judgment, redemption calculation, county-owned sale record or surplus-proceeds record needed. Ask how current installments, prior delinquent years, payments, interest and legal costs are separated. Confirm the custodian for court files or surplus proceeds and request existing records; do not assume the county will create a custom unpaid-roll extract. Confirm copy, certification, research and extraction charges before ordering.

What to ask for

“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Marion County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”

Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.

County-specific notes

Verified denotes reviewed published record-access instructions, including explicit staff-assisted tax-information routes; it does not certify a tested taxpayer query. Reviewed October 29, 2026. Ordinary tax statements, unpaid collections, dated foreclosure publications, redemption records, sales of county-owned land and surplus proceeds differ in scope. Confirm later payments and costs with the custodian. No taxpayer search, portal login, account registration, record request, payment or owner-list republication was performed.

We help you locate records; we do not store taxpayer lists, determine delinquency, collect taxes, or sell tax liens. Confirm balances, payment status, deadlines, and fees with the responsible office. A tax-sale list is not a complete list of delinquent accounts.
