How to find the information

The Treasurer page explicitly directs people with missing bills or uncertain tax amounts to contact staff. Delinquent Tax Payments distinguishes real estate, manufactured homes and personal property, with delinquent arrangements handled in person. Request an existing unpaid ledger and dated payoff from the office at 101 North Main Street, Room 21, Woodsfield. Current-tax ACH/escrow eligibility and online payment options are separate from delinquent-record coverage.

For an existing record request, identify the parcel, municipality/tax district, tax years and desired as-of date. Specify the unpaid collection ledger, dated delinquent publication, tax-lien/certificate record, foreclosure case, sale result, redemption calculation or surplus-proceeds record needed. Ask which taxes, assessments, penalties, interest and legal costs are included, and how later payments are posted. Ask the named office to identify the custodian for court files or excess proceeds. Request existing records and confirm inspection, electronic-copy, certification and extraction charges before ordering; do not assume a custom countywide report will be created.

What to ask for

“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Monroe County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”

Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.

County-specific notes

Verified means published access instructions were reviewed, including explicit staff-assisted bill/ledger routes; no taxpayer query was tested. Reviewed October 29, 2026. An annual bill, certified delinquent list, lien sale, foreclosure, property sale, redemption and surplus record have different scope and dates. Confirm tax year versus payment year and later costs with the custodian. No taxpayer search, account registration, records request, payment or owner-list republication was performed.

We help you locate records; we do not store taxpayer lists, determine delinquency, collect taxes, or sell tax liens. Confirm balances, payment status, deadlines, and fees with the responsible office. A tax-sale list is not a complete list of delinquent accounts.
