County tax-records access guidance

How to find the information

The county’s Property Taxes guidance directs lookup by property address, statement number or parcel number. The Research and Pay portal exposes those entry controls; dynamic result templates were not treated as actual account results. The county says individual-property web review is free.

For an existing delinquent real-property report, parcel account/payment ledger, statement copy or dated payoff, provide the parcel/tax ID if known, tax years, desired as-of date and preferred inspection or electronic-copy format. Ask which principal taxes, interest, penalties, special assessments and costs are included and confirm any copy, certification or extract fee. A statement, recorded lien or sale notice does not certify today’s unpaid balance.

What to ask for

“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Cass County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”

Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.

County-specific notes

Cass warns that credits do not show separately in online tax detail and appear on physical statements; consolidated tax is net of credits. Obtain the physical statement or office explanation if the credit breakdown is needed. The office phone/extension is corroborated by the North Dakota Association of Counties Treasurer directory; confirm the current collection counter. No account registration, payment, taxpayer search, records-request submission or owner-list attachment download was performed. This import contains access guidance, not taxpayer rows.

An independent directory, not a government agency.

We help you locate records; we do not store taxpayer lists, determine delinquency, collect taxes, or sell tax liens. Confirm balances, payment status, deadlines, and fees with the responsible office. A tax-sale list is not a complete list of delinquent accounts.
