PROPERTY TAX RESEARCH, MADE SIMPLER
Billings County, North Dakota
Where to look, which office to contact, and how to request records.
Where to obtain records
Billings County Treasurer / Property Tax
Office contact directoryContact the office for delinquent property tax records. This guide does not confirm an online search or current bill list.
How to find the information
The statewide map routes Billings to the Tax Director page, which publishes parcel data, tax estimates, a 2025 tax roll and archived county tax information. Those resources do not establish a current delinquency ledger. Call the Treasurer office listed in the county association directory, 701-623-4377, to confirm the inspection/copy route.
For an existing delinquent real-property report, parcel account/payment ledger, statement copy or dated payoff, provide the parcel/tax ID if known, tax years, desired as-of date and preferred inspection or electronic-copy format. Ask which principal taxes, interest, penalties, special assessments and costs are included and confirm any copy, certification or extract fee. A statement, recorded lien or sale notice does not certify today’s unpaid balance.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Billings County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
County-specific notes
Contact status: reviewed assessment/estimate resources do not verify online unpaid-tax coverage. The Tax Director number 701-623-4810 is a different contact from the directory’s Treasurer routing number. No account registration, payment, taxpayer search, records-request submission or owner-list attachment download was performed. This import contains access guidance, not taxpayer rows.
