PROPERTY TAX RESEARCH, MADE SIMPLER
Lincoln County, New Mexico
Where to look, which office to contact, and how to request records.
Where to obtain records
Lincoln County Treasurer / Property Tax
County tax-records access guidanceHow to find the information
Treasurer’s Delinquent Tax page tells visitors to contact the office for specific penalty and interest amounts. The main department page publishes 575-648-2397 ext. 2 and separates Delinquent Tax, state-sale information and Pay Your Property Taxes navigation. Request the existing account ledger and a dated amount due.
For an existing delinquent real-property report, parcel account/payment ledger, statement copy or dated payoff, provide the county account/owner/parcel ID if known, tax years, desired as-of date and preferred inspection or electronic-copy format. Ask which principal taxes, penalties, interest and county/state costs are included, whether the account is state-referred, and whether recent payments have posted. Confirm any inspection, copy, certification or extract charge. An assessment, recorded lien, payment screen or dated sale list does not certify today’s unpaid balance.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Lincoln County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
County-specific notes
Use the local published extension 2 rather than the state directory’s older extension 7. The page contains mixed tax-year wording, so those calendar examples are not repeated as current deadlines. A state-sale notice and ordinary unpaid bill have different scope. No taxpayer query, CAPTCHA verification, account creation, e-billing enrollment, payment or records-request submission was made. No taxpayer rows or owner-list attachments are included.
