How to find the information

Start with the municipality where the parcel lies. New Jersey municipal collectors hold the local collection account, even when the bill includes county or school charges. The example below covers Vineland only. For another place in Cumberland County, use the Office website link to the state’s County and Municipal Web Sites directory, then confirm the municipality’s official collector and public-records custodian. That directory cautions that some listed sites may not be official.

For Vineland property, contact the Tax Collector office at 856-794-4050 for an account update or bill copy. Its guidance expressly says municipal liens, third-party tax liens and properties in bankruptcy cannot be paid online and must be handled through the tax office.

For records beyond the published page, ask the responsible collector for an existing delinquent real-estate report, account/payment ledger or current lien-redemption calculation. Identify the municipality, block/lot/qualifier or tax-account ID, years, desired as-of date and preferred inspection/electronic-copy format. Ask whether tax, sewer, water and other municipal charges are separate. For a formal existing-records request, use that municipality’s records custodian/OPRA route; confirm any copying, extract or certification charges before ordering.

What to ask for

“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Cumberland County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”

Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.

County-specific notes

The ordinary Pay Taxes link therefore does not establish that every unpaid or lien account can be resolved online. The County Tax Administrator number on the page concerns appeals, not the Vineland account ledger. Request the current lien/payoff record separately from an assessment appeal or utility bill. Reviewed status concerns source/access guidance, not certified taxpayer liability. Tax-sale notices, recorded liens, assessed values and current collector balances have different coverage. No taxpayer rows, sale-list attachments or account results are reproduced.

An independent directory, not a government agency.

We help you locate records; we do not store taxpayer lists, determine delinquency, collect taxes, or sell tax liens. Confirm balances, payment status, deadlines, and fees with the responsible office. A tax-sale list is not a complete list of delinquent accounts.
