Find the municipality / local tax officeHow to find the information
Use the county’s Cities & Towns page to distinguish an incorporated town/city from an unincorporated place. For incorporated property, contact the relevant municipal Tax Collector. For unincorporated places, use the county Unincorporated Places tax-collector route. For current unpaid balances or an existing delinquent real-property report, request records from the responsible local collector. State the municipality/place, parcel or map/lot identifier if known, tax years, desired as-of date and preferred electronic-copy or inspection format. Ask about existing files and any copy/export or certification fees. For recorded liens, identify the owner name and approximate recording dates or known book/page, then check related releases and confirm present status with the collector. Unincorporated-place contact: https://www.cooscountynh.gov/government/departments/unincorporated_places/contacts.php; phone 603-237-1905.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Coos County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
County-specific notes
The dedicated Unincorporated Places Contacts page lists the tax contact at 603-237-1905; the department overview also gives the county main number 603-237-1920. Confirm which office holds the particular place’s account. This is a scoped exception, not a countywide collection office for incorporated towns. Preliminary property values and tax maps are assessment records, not proof of unpaid taxes. The Coös Registry is at 55 School Street, Suite 103, Lancaster. Use its recorded-document search for lien and release history. Its AVA link is labelled Index Only; document-image and paid-service terms should be checked separately. New Hampshire generally collects property taxes municipally; a recorded lien is historical evidence and does not by itself certify a present unpaid balance. Reviewed status applies to access guidance only. No taxpayer query, payment, registration or records request was submitted, and no taxpayer rows are republished.
