How to find the information

The Clerk & Treasurer’s Delinquent Taxes page provides a Request delinquent tax list route and detailed lien-assignment information. Request the existing list/report and specify the tax years, property type and desired as-of date.

To obtain an existing delinquent real-property report, account/payment ledger, bill copy or dated redemption/payoff calculation, provide the county tax ID/parcel or geocode if known, tax years, desired as-of date and preferred inspection or electronic-copy format. Ask which taxes, interest, penalties and costs are included and confirm any copy, certification or extract charge. A dated list, lien or deed record does not certify today’s unpaid balance.

What to ask for

“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Missoula County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”

Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.

County-specific notes

The published Taxes & Vehicles contact is 406-258-4747; the separate Property contact concerns other property-record functions. An investor assignment submission is different from a public records/list request; neither was submitted. Review concerns access guidance rather than certified taxpayer liability. No account registration, payment, lien-assignment application or records-request submission was made; no taxpayer rows or owner-list attachments are included in this import.

An independent directory, not a government agency.

We help you locate records; we do not store taxpayer lists, determine delinquency, collect taxes, or sell tax liens. Confirm balances, payment status, deadlines, and fees with the responsible office. A tax-sale list is not a complete list of delinquent accounts.
