Carter County Treasurer / Property Tax
County tax-records access guidanceHow to find the information
The Treasurer page publishes real-estate and personal-property tax reports and expressly warns that each report is uploaded only once per year and later updates may not be reflected. Request current status from the office.
To obtain an existing delinquent real-property report, account/payment ledger, bill copy or dated redemption/payoff calculation, provide the county tax ID/parcel or geocode if known, tax years, desired as-of date and preferred inspection or electronic-copy format. Ask which taxes, interest, penalties and costs are included and confirm any copy, certification or extract charge. A dated list, lien or deed record does not certify today’s unpaid balance.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Carter County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
County-specific notes
Annual reports and lien information are dated publications, not live balances. Their attachment links were identified without downloading taxpayer rows. Review concerns access guidance rather than certified taxpayer liability. No account registration, payment, lien-assignment application or records-request submission was made; no taxpayer rows or owner-list attachments are included in this import.
