PROPERTY TAX RESEARCH, MADE SIMPLER
Ste. Genevieve County, Missouri
Where to look, which office to contact, and how to request records.
Where to obtain records
Ste. Genevieve County Collector
Official property-tax record-access guidanceHow to find the information
The county’s Tax Sale Information page explains the certificate-sale route. Its County Owned Property for Sale page distinguishes county-owned inventory from the annual delinquent sale list, which it says becomes available in July. Use the appropriate year’s notice or owned-property inventory, and request the Collector’s ordinary unpaid ledger separately.
For an existing record, give the parcel/account or locator number if known, the tax years and desired as-of date. Specify an unpaid real-estate collection ledger, annual delinquent land list, dated sale publication, certificate/sale result, redemption calculation or surplus/proceeds claim and disbursement record. Ask the office to identify the custodian when the requested court or proceeds record is held elsewhere. Confirm which interest, penalties, assessments, costs and later payments are included. Ask for existing records and available formats; do not assume a custom report will be created. Confirm inspection, electronic-copy, certification and extraction charges before ordering.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Ste. Genevieve County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
County-specific notes
Verified denotes reviewed published access guidance, including explicit staff-only record routes; it does not certify a taxpayer search result. Reviewed October 28, 2026. Ordinary annual bills, unpaid ledgers, dated advertised sale lists, certificates, redemption records and surplus proceeds have different scope. A past sale date is not an upcoming event. Confirm subsequent payments and the exact record date with the custodian. No taxpayer search, owner-list reproduction, records-request submission, account registration, auction enrollment or payment occurred.
