Jackson County Chancery Clerk — tax-sale and redemption records
Search Jackson land-redemption recordsHow to find the information
Open the Jackson land-redemption search. Enter one identifier using Name (last first), Parcel Number, PPIN, then submit the search. Confirm the parcel and relevant tax/sale year in any returned record. For tax-sale and redemption records, contact the Jackson County Chancery Clerk at 228-769-1680. Provide the parcel number or PPIN, assessed name and tax-sale year. Request the existing sale/redemption entry or an existing unredeemed-parcel file, specify the years needed, and ask for a copy/export cost estimate before ordering. The clerk directory lists Joshua_Eldridge@co.jackson.ms.us for written inquiries. For unpaid bills before tax sale, ask the Tax Collector for its current account records. Jackson’s Land Records & Land Redemption office lists 228-769-3131 and maintains annual tax-sale/redemption records. Its page links a 2021 Land Sale for August 2024 PDF; that dated file is not a current delinquent list. The Tax Collector’s separate bill-search guidance permits name (last first), address or parcel number, and its phone is 228-769-3074.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Jackson County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
County-specific notes
The county-branded form and named search fields were inspected without submitting a taxpayer query. A complete countywide unpaid-only filter, bulk download, historical completeness and current payoff were not established. The Secretary of State’s inventory covers land forfeited to Mississippi after unpaid taxes and an expired redemption period. It does not list every unpaid county bill, every county tax sale or all parcels still in redemption. Absence from the inventory does not establish that taxes are paid.
