Where to look, which office to contact, and how to request records.
Where to obtain records
Swift County Auditor-Treasurer
Official county tax office and records-request routeContact the office for delinquent property tax records. This guide does not confirm an online search or current bill list.
How to find the information
Swift’s Auditor-Treasurer page lists the office at 301 Fourteenth Street North, Benson and links Real Estate Tax Payments separately from Tax Forfeiture Properties. Use 320-843-4069 to request an existing unpaid real-estate ledger, a dated delinquency publication or the appropriate judgment record. The published office and service labels were reviewed, but the coverage of a public online delinquent-account query or bulk report was not confirmed.
For existing records, provide the parcel/account identifier, tax year and desired as-of date. Specify an unpaid collection ledger, dated delinquent publication, tax judgment, confession-of-judgment plan ledger, expiration-of-redemption notice or tax-forfeiture record. Ask which special assessments, penalties, interest, costs and later payments are included. Confirm inspection, electronic-copy, certification, tax-search and extract charges before ordering. Assessment/ownership data, an original bill and a forfeited-property sale inventory do not certify the complete current delinquent amount.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Swift County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
County-specific notes
