Pipestone County Auditor-Treasurer
Official county property-tax access guidanceHow to find the information
Pipestone’s Property Tax page links its Land Records Hub and explains that the map is a representation for property research. The Auditor office at 416 South Hiawatha Avenue, Pipestone lists 507-825-1140; the Treasurer’s collection desk has a separate number. Use the county-linked tax-information route for available records, then ask the Auditor for the existing delinquent ledger or dated judgment/forfeiture record beyond an assessment map.
For existing records, provide the parcel/account identifier, tax year and desired as-of date. Specify an unpaid collection ledger, dated delinquent publication, tax judgment, confession-of-judgment plan ledger, expiration-of-redemption notice or tax-forfeiture record. Ask which special assessments, penalties, interest, costs and later payments are included. Confirm inspection, electronic-copy, certification, tax-search and extract charges before ordering. Assessment/ownership data, an original bill and a forfeited-property sale inventory do not certify the complete current delinquent amount.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Pipestone County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
