Goodhue County Finance & Taxpayer Services / Auditor-Treasurer
Official county property-tax access guidanceHow to find the information
Goodhue’s Finance & Taxpayer Services Auditor/Treasurer page links Search Property Tax Records/Pay Property Tax. It locates the office on the second floor of the Government Center, 509 West Fifth Street, Red Wing. Use the county-linked service for available account information; ask 651-385-3040 for an existing itemized unpaid ledger or dated payoff if a statement or parcel view does not cover later payments, interest or special assessments.
For existing records, provide the parcel/account identifier, tax year and desired as-of date. Specify an unpaid collection ledger, dated delinquent publication, tax judgment, confession-of-judgment plan ledger, expiration-of-redemption notice or tax-forfeiture record. Ask which special assessments, penalties, interest, costs and later payments are included. Confirm inspection, electronic-copy, certification, tax-search and extract charges before ordering. Assessment/ownership data, an original bill and a forfeited-property sale inventory do not certify the complete current delinquent amount.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Goodhue County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
