PROPERTY TAX RESEARCH, MADE SIMPLER
Presque Isle County, Michigan
Where to look, which office to contact, and how to request records.
Where to obtain records
Presque Isle County Treasurer / Delinquent Real Property Tax Records
Official county property-tax access and records guidanceHow to find the information
The Treasurer provides Property Tax Search separately from foreclosure-proceeds claim information and a retained settlement notice. Use the tax search for available account detail or request the existing ledger and dated forfeiture/foreclosure records through county Treasury. The older settlement deadline is not treated as a currently open application period.
For an existing-record request, provide the parcel identifier, city/township/village, tax year and desired as-of date. Distinguish the county delinquent collection ledger from a current local bill, recorded forfeiture certificate, foreclosure petition/judgment, auction result or proceeds record. Ask whether special assessments, utility charges, later adjustments, interest, fees and recent payments are included. Confirm inspection, electronic-copy, certification, research and extract charges. An assessment, payment receipt or auction catalog does not certify the complete current unpaid balance.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Presque Isle County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
