Where to obtain records

Keweenaw County Treasurer / Delinquent Real Property Tax Records

Official county property-tax access and records guidance

How to find the information

The Treasurer identifies tax histories and other property information as office services and separately links foreclosure-proceeds help. The county and state FGU resources distinguish historical foreclosure years, including state handling for 2018–2020. Request the existing collection record through Treasury and specify the foreclosure year when asking for older disposition/proceeds records.

For an existing-record request, provide the parcel identifier, city/township/village, tax year and desired as-of date. Distinguish the county delinquent collection ledger from a current local bill, recorded forfeiture certificate, foreclosure petition/judgment, auction result or proceeds record. Ask whether special assessments, utility charges, later adjustments, interest, fees and recent payments are included. Confirm inspection, electronic-copy, certification, research and extract charges. An assessment, payment receipt or auction catalog does not certify the complete current unpaid balance.

What to ask for

“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Keweenaw County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”

Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.

County-specific notes

Published access directions were reviewed; no taxpayer query or account result was tested. Collection and FGU foreclosure/proceeds responsibilities can differ by foreclosure year. Confirm the specific year with county Treasury and the state FGU resources. Reviewed October 28, 2026. Dated notices and older statutory examples are not live balances or current parcel-specific deadlines. No taxpayer criteria, account creation, CAPTCHA completion, records-request submission, bidder registration or payment was performed. No taxpayer rows or owner-list attachments are included.

We help you locate records; we do not store taxpayer lists, determine delinquency, collect taxes, or sell tax liens. Confirm balances, payment status, deadlines, and fees with the responsible office. A tax-sale list is not a complete list of delinquent accounts.
