How to find the information

Identify the city or town where the parcel lies. The municipal example below concerns Lowell. For another locality in Middlesex County, the Office website link opens the state city/town directory; use its municipal department link to locate the Collector and, where separate, the Treasurer/Tax Title office.

For Lowell property, use Tax Title Division. The city advertises a Short Tax Title Report, including an October 2026 edition when reviewed, published on the first business day of each month and available on the website or in the Law Department.

For an existing delinquent real-estate report, account/payment history or current payoff, state the municipality, parcel or map/block/lot identifier if known, tax years, desired as-of date and preferred inspection or electronic-copy format. Ask whether the record covers ordinary unpaid bills, Tax Title accounts or foreclosed property, and confirm any copying, extract or certification charge before ordering.

What to ask for

“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Middlesex County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”

Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.

County-specific notes

The city explicitly says the monthly list is not sufficient for redemption or payoff amounts; obtain an updated balance from the Treasurer at 978-674-4222. The report’s navigation/label was identified, but its taxpayer rows were not downloaded. A monthly tax-title report is not all current unpaid bills, and Lowell’s accounts do not cover the rest of Middlesex County. Reviewed status concerns source/access guidance, not taxpayer liability. No taxpayer query, payment, account registration or records-request submission was made; no taxpayer rows are included in this import.

An independent directory, not a government agency.

We help you locate records; we do not store taxpayer lists, determine delinquency, collect taxes, or sell tax liens. Confirm balances, payment status, deadlines, and fees with the responsible office. A tax-sale list is not a complete list of delinquent accounts.
