Queen Anne's County, Maryland
Where to look, which office to contact, and how to request records.
Where to obtain records
Queen Anne's County Office of Budget & Finance / Treasury Division
Official local property-tax records and tax-sale guidanceHow to find the information
The county separates its weekly-updated online sale listing, Available Over-the-Counter Tax Sale Certificates and Excess Funds Listing. Certificate coverage can include water/sewer, assessments and road bills, including certain town charges. It identifies the SDAT Property Account Identifier as the Parcel ID Number. Ask Treasury at extension 2087 for the existing ledger or a dated certificate/redemption amount.
For existing records, provide the account/parcel identifier, tax or fiscal year and desired as-of date. Specify an ordinary unpaid collection ledger, dated tax-sale advertisement, certificate history or a current redemption quote. Ask whether municipal bills, utilities, special assessments, penalties, interest, later taxes and certificate-holder costs are included. Confirm inspection, electronic-copy, certification, research and extract charges before ordering. SDAT ownership/assessment data, a payment receipt and an old sale list do not certify the complete current amount due.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Queen Anne's County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
County-specific notes
Over-the-counter purchases require registration, but this does not establish that all public record reading requires bidder enrollment. A newspaper advertisement, updated auction list and excess-funds record have different dates and scope. Reviewed October 28, 2026. Published directions and service labels are not tested account results. No taxpayer criteria, account creation, CAPTCHA completion, record-request submission, bidder enrollment or payment was performed. No owner-list attachments or taxpayer rows are reproduced.
