How to find the information

Open the clerk’s website or tax information page and follow its link to DTax/Software Management. Select Knox County and the property-tax list if the service offers those choices. If the county or year you need is unavailable, call (606) 546-3568 and request the appropriate delinquent-property-tax records. Check the list’s tax year before relying on it.

What to ask for

“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Knox County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”

Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.

County-specific notes

A list’s publication year and an account’s current payment status are different things. Verify the year, any later payment or transfer, and the current record holder with the clerk.

An independent directory, not a government agency.

We help you locate records; we do not store taxpayer lists, determine delinquency, collect taxes, or sell tax liens. Confirm balances, payment status, deadlines, and fees with the responsible office. A tax-sale list is not a complete list of delinquent accounts.
