Where to obtain records
Vanderburgh County Treasurer; Auditor for tax-sale/redemption records
Treasurer association office contact profileContact the office for delinquent property tax records. This guide does not confirm an online search or current bill list.
How to find the information
The county Treasurer service says to call 812-435-5248 for current tax data. Request the existing unpaid parcel ledger or annual delinquency publication and ask for the Auditor’s sale/certificate or dated redemption record when taxes have been sold. The former county domain redirects to a joint Evansville/Vanderburgh website.
Provide the parcel/PIN or duplicate number, tax year, payable year and desired as-of date when requesting existing records. Specify current collection history, a dated delinquency publication, a tax-sale certificate/redemption record or a personal-property judgment. Ask whether assessments, penalties, costs, subsequent taxes and recent payments are included. Confirm inspection, electronic-copy, certification, research and extract charges. A valuation, payment receipt, advertised minimum bid or sheriff foreclosure is not by itself proof of every current unpaid obligation.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Vanderburgh County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
County-specific notes
Contact status: The old county domain redirects to a joint city/county website. The county Treasurer service says to call 812-435-5248 for current tax data; a current county-endorsed complete delinquency query was not confirmed. Confirm the current office location, inspection/copy arrangements and charges directly. An access failure does not mean records do not exist. Reviewed October 28, 2026. Published calendars can be older than current access instructions. No taxpayer criteria, account registration, CAPTCHA, public-records request, bidder enrollment or payment was submitted. No taxpayer rows or owner-list attachments are included in this guide.
