PROPERTY TAX RESEARCH, MADE SIMPLER
Cass County, Indiana
Where to look, which office to contact, and how to request records.
Where to obtain records
Cass County Treasurer; Auditor for tax-sale/redemption records
Official county tax-records access guidanceHow to find the information
The Treasurer’s county page separates ordinary tax billing/payment questions from bankruptcy and returned-check issues. Use the collection office for the existing parcel ledger, delinquency notice or tax-sale publication; specify whether real estate, mobile home or personal-property judgment records are needed.
Provide the parcel/PIN or duplicate number, tax year, payable year and desired as-of date when requesting existing records. Specify current collection history, a dated delinquency publication, a tax-sale certificate/redemption record or a personal-property judgment. Ask whether assessments, penalties, costs, subsequent taxes and recent payments are included. Confirm inspection, electronic-copy, certification, research and extract charges. A valuation, payment receipt, advertised minimum bid or sheriff foreclosure is not by itself proof of every current unpaid obligation.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Cass County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
County-specific notes
Failure to receive an annual statement is different from record availability. An ordinary bill or returned-payment receipt may not show the full later tax-sale/redemption amount. Reviewed October 28, 2026. Published calendars can be older than current access instructions. No taxpayer criteria, account registration, CAPTCHA, public-records request, bidder enrollment or payment was submitted. No taxpayer rows or owner-list attachments are included in this guide.
