PROPERTY TAX RESEARCH, MADE SIMPLER
Allen County, Indiana
Where to look, which office to contact, and how to request records.
Where to obtain records
Allen County Treasurer; Auditor for tax-sale/redemption records
Official county tax-records access guidanceHow to find the information
The Auditor’s Delinquent Property List is a snapshot as of October 6, 2026. The county explicitly says it is not the Tax Sale list, that these properties are not being offered for sale by that publication, and that the posted list is not updated. Use the Treasurer’s separate Public Access Tax Information or ask for an existing ledger and current Auditor redemption quote.
Provide the parcel/PIN or duplicate number, tax year, payable year and desired as-of date when requesting existing records. Specify current collection history, a dated delinquency publication, a tax-sale certificate/redemption record or a personal-property judgment. Ask whether assessments, penalties, costs, subsequent taxes and recent payments are included. Confirm inspection, electronic-copy, certification, research and extract charges. A valuation, payment receipt, advertised minimum bid or sheriff foreclosure is not by itself proof of every current unpaid obligation.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Allen County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
