PROPERTY TAX RESEARCH, MADE SIMPLER
White County, Illinois
Where to look, which office to contact, and how to request records.
Where to obtain records
White County Treasurer / Collector; County Clerk for sold-tax redemption
Official county tax-records access guidanceHow to find the information
The Treasurer says DEVNET WEDGE allows tax-information research by owner name, site address or parcel number and offers bill printing. It separates Tax Inquiry, Tax Payment, Delinquent Tax Sale Info and Sealed Bid Auction Info. Use inquiry for account research and ask the office for an existing unpaid ledger or Clerk redemption record beyond the public view.
To obtain existing unpaid-tax records, provide the parcel/PIN, tax year, payable year and desired as-of date. Specify whether you need current collection history, the annual delinquency publication, tax-sale/certificate history or a dated redemption estimate. Ask whether subsequent taxes, interest, penalties, costs and recent payments are included. Confirm inspection, electronic-copy, research, certification and extract fees with the office. Assessor valuations, ordinary property sales, trustee-auction catalogs and payment receipts do not by themselves certify every unpaid obligation.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for White County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
County-specific notes
