PROPERTY TAX RESEARCH, MADE SIMPLER
Warren County, Illinois
Where to look, which office to contact, and how to request records.
Where to obtain records
Warren County Treasurer / Collector; County Clerk for sold-tax redemption
Official county tax-records access guidanceHow to find the information
The Treasurer’s current notice says Warren County will acquire delinquent real-estate taxes as trustee beginning with 2025 payable 2026, while mobile-home taxes remain separate. Its page says post-sale redemptions go directly through the County Clerk and distinguishes annual trustee-parcel sealed bids from the unpaid-tax sale. Request the applicable existing ledger or publication.
To obtain existing unpaid-tax records, provide the parcel/PIN, tax year, payable year and desired as-of date. Specify whether you need current collection history, the annual delinquency publication, tax-sale/certificate history or a dated redemption estimate. Ask whether subsequent taxes, interest, penalties, costs and recent payments are included. Confirm inspection, electronic-copy, research, certification and extract fees with the office. Assessor valuations, ordinary property sales, trustee-auction catalogs and payment receipts do not by themselves certify every unpaid obligation.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Warren County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
County-specific notes
The page has a collection calendar extending into January 2027. Confirm the year and record category; settlement sheets and trustee-sale books are not the complete unpaid-account roll. Reviewed October 28, 2026. County notices can change, and older calendars remain on some sites. No taxpayer query, CAPTCHA completion, account registration, record-request submission, bidder enrollment, upload or payment was performed. No owner-list attachments or taxpayer rows are included.
