PROPERTY TAX RESEARCH, MADE SIMPLER
Rock Island County, Illinois
Where to look, which office to contact, and how to request records.
Where to obtain records
Rock Island County Treasurer / Collector; County Clerk for sold-tax redemption
Official county tax-records access guidanceHow to find the information
The County Clerk offers Online Delinquent Property Tax Records Search through an agreement/disclaimer page requiring JavaScript. It describes the service as individual public inquiry. Use that route for delinquent records, the Treasurer’s separate Property Tax Search for current collection history, or ask the Clerk for a dated redemption amount.
To obtain existing unpaid-tax records, provide the parcel/PIN, tax year, payable year and desired as-of date. Specify whether you need current collection history, the annual delinquency publication, tax-sale/certificate history or a dated redemption estimate. Ask whether subsequent taxes, interest, penalties, costs and recent payments are included. Confirm inspection, electronic-copy, research, certification and extract fees with the office. Assessor valuations, ordinary property sales, trustee-auction catalogs and payment receipts do not by themselves certify every unpaid obligation.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Rock Island County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
County-specific notes
The delinquent-search disclaimer prohibits automated retrieval and directs bulk property-characteristic requests to Assessments. No disclaimer was accepted, taxpayer query submitted or data downloaded; an existing tax report should be requested from its actual custodian. Reviewed October 28, 2026. County notices can change, and older calendars remain on some sites. No taxpayer query, CAPTCHA completion, account registration, record-request submission, bidder enrollment, upload or payment was performed. No owner-list attachments or taxpayer rows are included.
