PROPERTY TAX RESEARCH, MADE SIMPLER
Randolph County, Illinois
Where to look, which office to contact, and how to request records.
Where to obtain records
Randolph County Treasurer / Collector; County Clerk for sold-tax redemption
Official county tax-records access guidanceHow to find the information
The Treasurer separates property-tax payment from the county trustee program and says a taxpayer’s own duplicate bill is free, while other duplicate bills cost $5. Ask for the existing unpaid ledger or relevant delinquency publication, and request the County Clerk record for redemption after sale.
To obtain existing unpaid-tax records, provide the parcel/PIN, tax year, payable year and desired as-of date. Specify whether you need current collection history, the annual delinquency publication, tax-sale/certificate history or a dated redemption estimate. Ask whether subsequent taxes, interest, penalties, costs and recent payments are included. Confirm inspection, electronic-copy, research, certification and extract fees with the office. Assessor valuations, ordinary property sales, trustee-auction catalogs and payment receipts do not by themselves certify every unpaid obligation.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Randolph County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
County-specific notes
The page lists both the elected Treasurer’s extension and office extensions; the county contact directory labels extension 224 for Treasury. A trustee inventory is not a list of every unpaid parcel. Reviewed October 28, 2026. County notices can change, and older calendars remain on some sites. No taxpayer query, CAPTCHA completion, account registration, record-request submission, bidder enrollment, upload or payment was performed. No owner-list attachments or taxpayer rows are included.
