PROPERTY TAX RESEARCH, MADE SIMPLER
Moultrie County, Illinois
Where to look, which office to contact, and how to request records.
Where to obtain records
Moultrie County Treasurer / Collector; County Clerk for sold-tax redemption
Official county tax-records access guidanceHow to find the information
Real Estate Taxes directs online research to Fike & Fike: select Moultrie, then the year. It emphasizes that real-estate tax information is based on the prior tax year, while mobile-home taxes are annual. The separate Real Estate Tax Sale page gives the County Clerk at 217-728-4389 for a redemption amount after taxes are sold.
To obtain existing unpaid-tax records, provide the parcel/PIN, tax year, payable year and desired as-of date. Specify whether you need current collection history, the annual delinquency publication, tax-sale/certificate history or a dated redemption estimate. Ask whether subsequent taxes, interest, penalties, costs and recent payments are included. Confirm inspection, electronic-copy, research, certification and extract fees with the office. Assessor valuations, ordinary property sales, trustee-auction catalogs and payment receipts do not by themselves certify every unpaid obligation.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Moultrie County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
County-specific notes
The sale page retains a November 2025 sale calendar and a list-price schedule. Confirm present availability and fees; the current guide does not restate that old auction date as an upcoming sale. Reviewed October 28, 2026. County notices can change, and older calendars remain on some sites. No taxpayer query, CAPTCHA completion, account registration, record-request submission, bidder enrollment, upload or payment was performed. No owner-list attachments or taxpayer rows are included.
