Where to obtain records

McDonough County Treasurer / Collector; County Clerk for sold-tax redemption

Treasurer office profile hosted by the county Treasurers association

Contact the office for delinquent property tax records. This guide does not confirm an online search or current bill list.

How to find the information

The Treasurer’s association-hosted office profile identifies 1 Courthouse Square, Macomb and 309-833-2032. Ask the collection office for the existing unpaid real-estate ledger, annual delinquency publication or tax-sale/certificate history and the Clerk contact for sold-tax redemption. Specify the tax years and desired as-of date.

To obtain existing unpaid-tax records, provide the parcel/PIN, tax year, payable year and desired as-of date. Specify whether you need current collection history, the annual delinquency publication, tax-sale/certificate history or a dated redemption estimate. Ask whether subsequent taxes, interest, penalties, costs and recent payments are included. Confirm inspection, electronic-copy, research, certification and extract fees with the office. Assessor valuations, ordinary property sales, trustee-auction catalogs and payment receipts do not by themselves certify every unpaid obligation.

What to ask for

“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for McDonough County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”

Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.

County-specific notes

Contact status: the old county/assessor website could not be substantively retrieved, and a current county-endorsed public delinquency inquiry was not confirmed. The office profile retains a 2018 holiday list; confirm current service arrangements instead of using that calendar. Reviewed October 28, 2026. County notices can change, and older calendars remain on some sites. No taxpayer query, CAPTCHA completion, account registration, record-request submission, bidder enrollment, upload or payment was performed. No owner-list attachments or taxpayer rows are included.

An independent directory, not a government agency.

We help you locate records; we do not store taxpayer lists, determine delinquency, collect taxes, or sell tax liens. Confirm balances, payment status, deadlines, and fees with the responsible office. A tax-sale list is not a complete list of delinquent accounts.
