PROPERTY TAX RESEARCH, MADE SIMPLER
Logan County, Illinois
Where to look, which office to contact, and how to request records.
Where to obtain records
Logan County Treasurer / Collector; County Clerk for sold-tax redemption
Official county tax-records access guidanceHow to find the information
The Treasurer’s current notice says Logan County has elected to acquire delinquent real-estate taxes as trustee; its 2026 registration item is for mobile homes only. The site separately links Tax Search. Request the existing unpaid ledger or the Clerk’s sold-tax record, specifying real estate versus mobile home and tax year versus payable year.
To obtain existing unpaid-tax records, provide the parcel/PIN, tax year, payable year and desired as-of date. Specify whether you need current collection history, the annual delinquency publication, tax-sale/certificate history or a dated redemption estimate. Ask whether subsequent taxes, interest, penalties, costs and recent payments are included. Confirm inspection, electronic-copy, research, certification and extract fees with the office. Assessor valuations, ordinary property sales, trustee-auction catalogs and payment receipts do not by themselves certify every unpaid obligation.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Logan County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
County-specific notes
The page says settlement sheets for current years moved under Tax Search / County Links / Settlement Sheets. Those are distribution records, not a complete unpaid-tax roll. Reviewed October 28, 2026. County notices can change, and older calendars remain on some sites. No taxpayer query, CAPTCHA completion, account registration, record-request submission, bidder enrollment, upload or payment was performed. No owner-list attachments or taxpayer rows are included.
