Where to obtain records

Grundy County Treasurer / Collector; County Clerk for sold-tax redemption

Official county tax-records access guidance

How to find the information

The Treasurer links Property Tax Inquiry and a separate Clerk Tax Sale Redemption route. Its current notice says future legally eligible delinquent tax liens/certificates will be acquired by Grundy County as trustee and expressly distinguishes that transfer from immediate property title. Ask Treasury for existing collection records and the Clerk for taxes already sold.

To obtain existing unpaid-tax records, provide the parcel/PIN, tax year, payable year and desired as-of date. Specify whether you need current collection history, the annual delinquency publication, tax-sale/certificate history or a dated redemption estimate. Ask whether subsequent taxes, interest, penalties, costs and recent payments are included. Confirm inspection, electronic-copy, research, certification and extract fees with the office. Assessor valuations, ordinary property sales, trustee-auction catalogs and payment receipts do not by themselves certify every unpaid obligation.

What to ask for

“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Grundy County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”

Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.

County-specific notes

The page also retains the November 2025 sale history. Confirm the applicable year and certificate status rather than treating older private-buyer guidance or the prior sale date as the current process. Reviewed October 28, 2026. County notices can change, and older calendars remain on some sites. No taxpayer query, CAPTCHA completion, account registration, record-request submission, bidder enrollment, upload or payment was performed. No owner-list attachments or taxpayer rows are included.

An independent directory, not a government agency.

We help you locate records; we do not store taxpayer lists, determine delinquency, collect taxes, or sell tax liens. Confirm balances, payment status, deadlines, and fees with the responsible office. A tax-sale list is not a complete list of delinquent accounts.
