How to find the information

The Treasurer’s 2026 calendar identifies the delinquent-list newspaper preparation and publication stages separately from judgment and tax sale. The office specifically prefers phone calls at 618-283-5022 rather than email for tax questions. Request the list for the desired publication date or an existing unpaid parcel ledger. The County Clerk/Recorder separately lists Certificates of Delinquent Property Taxes among its services.

To obtain existing unpaid-tax records, provide the parcel/PIN, tax year, payable year and desired as-of date. Specify whether you need current collection history, the annual delinquency publication, tax-sale/certificate history or a dated redemption estimate. Ask whether subsequent taxes, interest, penalties, costs and recent payments are included. Confirm inspection, electronic-copy, research, certification and extract fees with the office. Assessor valuations, ordinary property sales, trustee-auction catalogs and payment receipts do not by themselves certify every unpaid obligation.

What to ask for

“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Fayette County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”

Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.

County-specific notes

A published calendar and a payment link do not certify the payment status of every listed parcel. Ask which tax years and later payments the requested report includes. Reviewed October 28, 2026. County notices can change, and older calendars remain on some sites. No taxpayer query, CAPTCHA completion, account registration, record-request submission, bidder enrollment, upload or payment was performed. No owner-list attachments or taxpayer rows are included.

We help you locate records; we do not store taxpayer lists, determine delinquency, collect taxes, or sell tax liens. Confirm balances, payment status, deadlines, and fees with the responsible office. A tax-sale list is not a complete list of delinquent accounts.
