PROPERTY TAX RESEARCH, MADE SIMPLER
Edgar County, Illinois
Where to look, which office to contact, and how to request records.
Where to obtain records
Edgar County Treasurer / Collector; County Clerk for sold-tax redemption
Official county tax-records access guidanceContact the office for delinquent property tax records. This guide does not confirm an online search or current bill list.
How to find the information
The Treasurer’s published office page identifies 111 Sheriff Street, Suite A, Paris and 217-466-7446. Ask that desk for the existing unpaid real-property ledger, delinquency publication or tax-sale record for the specified years, and request the County Clerk contact if taxes have already been sold. The county footer links its FOIA route.
To obtain existing unpaid-tax records, provide the parcel/PIN, tax year, payable year and desired as-of date. Specify whether you need current collection history, the annual delinquency publication, tax-sale/certificate history or a dated redemption estimate. Ask whether subsequent taxes, interest, penalties, costs and recent payments are included. Confirm inspection, electronic-copy, research, certification and extract fees with the office. Assessor valuations, ordinary property sales, trustee-auction catalogs and payment receipts do not by themselves certify every unpaid obligation.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Edgar County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
County-specific notes
Contact status: the Treasurer page’s downloads section displayed an unrendered file-browser shortcode. A usable county-endorsed unpaid-tax query or electronic report route was not confirmed; this does not mean online records do not exist. Reviewed October 28, 2026. County notices can change, and older calendars remain on some sites. No taxpayer query, CAPTCHA completion, account registration, record-request submission, bidder enrollment, upload or payment was performed. No owner-list attachments or taxpayer rows are included.
