How to find the information

Tax Sale Information says the delinquent-parcel advertisement is published in the Boone County Journal and that a copy and PDF lien list are made available on the Treasurer site. For taxes already sold, it specifically directs redemption questions to the County Clerk at 815-544-3103. Ask for the relevant list date or an existing account ledger.

To obtain existing unpaid-tax records, provide the parcel/PIN, tax year, payable year and desired as-of date. Specify whether you need current collection history, the annual delinquency publication, tax-sale/certificate history or a dated redemption estimate. Ask whether subsequent taxes, interest, penalties, costs and recent payments are included. Confirm inspection, electronic-copy, research, certification and extract fees with the office. Assessor valuations, ordinary property sales, trustee-auction catalogs and payment receipts do not by themselves certify every unpaid obligation.
