PROPERTY TAX RESEARCH, MADE SIMPLER
Teton County, Idaho
Where to look, which office to contact, and how to request records.
Where to obtain records
Teton County Treasurer / Tax Collector
Treasurer records-access guidanceHow to find the information
Use Treasurer/Tax Collector at 208-776-8250. Its page describes a newer online payment system that allows lookup of the amount owed and says an emailed copy of a bill may be requested. Use the office for years or records not shown by that service.
For an existing delinquent real-estate report, tax-account ledger, bill copy or current payoff, provide the county parcel/PIN or bill identifier if known, tax years, desired as-of date and preferred inspection or electronic-copy format. Ask which unpaid years, interest, costs and special assessments are included, and confirm any copying, certification or extract charge. A dated tax-deed notice, sale offering or assessment value does not certify today’s balance.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Teton County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
