Owyhee County, Idaho
Where to look, which office to contact, and how to request records.
Where to obtain records
Owyhee County Treasurer / Tax Collector
Treasurer records-access guidanceHow to find the information
Use Treasurer at 208-495-1158. The department guidance says payments are applied to the oldest delinquency first and warns that a standard payment table may not reflect allocation when prior taxes are unpaid. Request the existing ledger by year and current payoff.
For an existing delinquent real-estate report, tax-account ledger, bill copy or current payoff, provide the county parcel/PIN or bill identifier if known, tax years, desired as-of date and preferred inspection or electronic-copy format. Ask which unpaid years, interest, costs and special assessments are included, and confirm any copying, certification or extract charge. A dated tax-deed notice, sale offering or assessment value does not certify today’s balance.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Owyhee County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
County-specific notes
The Tax Deed route and excess-sale proceeds are separate from the current account ledger. A receipt for a new payment does not necessarily mean it was applied to the year expected. County guidance was reviewed without submitting a tax-account query. Review concerns access guidance, not taxpayer liability. No taxpayer query, registration, payment or records-request submission was made; no taxpayer rows or owner-list attachments are included in this import.
