Canyon County Treasurer / Tax Collector
Treasurer records-access guidanceHow to find the information
Use Treasurer at 208-454-7354. The page links a Data Hub for five-year assessment/tax history and separately explains E-Statements, which use an account/profile and retain notices for five years. It says a free paper copy of a notice can be requested without changing electronic-delivery elections.
For an existing delinquent real-estate report, tax-account ledger, bill copy or current payoff, provide the county parcel/PIN or bill identifier if known, tax years, desired as-of date and preferred inspection or electronic-copy format. Ask which unpaid years, interest, costs and special assessments are included, and confirm any copying, certification or extract charge. A dated tax-deed notice, sale offering or assessment value does not certify today’s balance.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Canyon County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
County-specific notes
Assessment history, tax notices and a current unpaid payoff have different scopes. Do not assume five-year notice retention supplies every older delinquency record. E-Statement enrollment was not attempted and no account records were queried. Review concerns access guidance, not taxpayer liability. No taxpayer query, registration, payment or records-request submission was made; no taxpayer rows or owner-list attachments are included in this import.
