How to find the information

Use Public Record Search and follow the county’s linked real-property website for property information. The county advertises location address, Tax Map Key/parcel, ownership history and other search methods; those downstream input controls and results were not independently confirmed. Collections guidance also points to that property site for prior-year taxes and amounts paid. If using the state-operated bill-payment lookup, its published instructions require the full 15-digit parcel/TMK including the three-digit owner sequence; ask Collections for the correct identifier if you have only a 12-digit TMK, rather than guessing the suffix. For an existing countywide delinquency report, year-by-year history or current collection balance, call 808-241-4272 or email rpc@kauai.gov. Specify tax years, TMK/account, report as-of date and preferred electronic-copy or inspection format; ask for any copying/export or certification fee estimate. Published office: 4444 Rice Street, Suite 463, Lihue, HI 96766.

What to ask for

“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Kauai County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”

Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.

County-specific notes

The county states that billing/tax-collection details update daily, ownership weekly and assessed values annually; these are published schedules, not independently tested update guarantees. An annual assessment is not a current unpaid balance. The guide uses the actual Collections contact, not Assessment or the eHawaii technical-support line. Payment-entry availability does not establish a complete delinquency history or countywide data export. No taxpayer query, payment or registration was performed.

An independent directory, not a government agency.

We help you locate records; we do not store taxpayer lists, determine delinquency, collect taxes, or sell tax liens. Confirm balances, payment status, deadlines, and fees with the responsible office. A tax-sale list is not a complete list of delinquent accounts.
